Interlaken West train station at 9.15 am.
From Interlaken west train station we will take a scenic 20 minute bus ride up to the mountain village of Beatenberg. From there, we’ll hop on a 20 minute gondola that brings us all the way up to the Niederhorn for the start of our hike.

Easy to moderate trails with some inclines and well-developed trails. Moderate fitness level required.

ABOUT THE ROUTE
Niederhorn (1,963 m) is one of the most stunning peaks in the Bernese Oberland, offering breathtaking views without the need for a technical climb.
Your adventure begins with a bus ride from Interlaken to the charming village of Beatenberg, where the fun starts. From Beatenberg, we’ll take a gondola up to Niederhorn, offering spectacular views of Lake Thun and the iconic peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.
Once at the top, we’ll enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The hike will take us through beautiful forests and meadows, leading us to a ridge with dramatic cliffs on one side and incredible views of Lake Thun, and the Jungfrau region on the other. Once we get to Burgfeldstand, our highest point from our hike, we’ll take a break to enjoy a picnic with Swiss specialties in a stunning spot. The area is known for its diverse alpine wildlife, so we may even spot chamois, ibex, and marmots along the way.
Afterward, we’ll continue our hike down to Habkern, a traditional Swiss village with picturesque houses, vibrant flowers, and cows grazing in the fields. Here we will have the chance to visit a beautiful and traditional Swiss farm, where we will take a bus back to Interlaken.
