ABOUT THE ROUTE

This picturesque hike begins with a scenic gondola and train ride from Lauterbrunnen to the charming, car-free village of Mürren, situated high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. From here, we’ll follow a gentle path with incredible views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks—three of the most iconic mountains in the Swiss Alps. As we continue, we’ll explore alpine meadows, tranquil forests, and enjoy the serene beauty of the surrounding landscapes

We’ll follow a scenic trail through alpine meadows, quiet forest paths, and traditional farmland, passing rustic barns and charming Swiss chalets along the way. We’ll often spot cows and goats grazing in the fields, adding to the charm of this traditional alpine landscape. The Schilthorn stands high above us, completing the incredible mountain scenery around us.

Along the way, we’ll take a break at a cozy, traditional mountain lodge where you can enjoy a homemade cake and refreshing drinks in a stunning alpine setting.

A highlight of the route is Sprutz Waterfall—a secluded and beautiful place, where the trail passes right behind the cascading water, offering a refreshing stop and a nice photo opportunity. The journey continues through downhill mountain terrain to Gimmelwald—a small, car-free village known for its flower-covered homes, handmade cheeses, and traditional farms.
